I believe that Pascal’s Wager provides a rational reason to believe in God, because the tradeoff makes it more reasonable compared with uncertainty.

Most significantly, in John 6:26, “Jesus answered, ‘Very truly I tell you, you are looking for me, not because you saw the signs I performed but because you ate the loaves and had your fill.’” This is obviously one example of how Jesus does not completely prohibit the motivation of getting benefits, since he didn’t reject those people while they were asking for food. And in John 6:27, Jesus said, “Do not work for food that spoils, but for food that endures to eternal life, which the Son of Man will give you.
