Although the Song Dynasty was known for its culture diffusion to surrounding countries which was mostly spread to Korea, Japan, and Vietnam, this was done based on the basic technological development that had not ever been achieved before and cannot happen without these preconditions. One of the primary and most unique causes of the Song “Golden Age” was the unprecedented urbanization which was highlighted by the development of the major city Hangzhou, which build the fundamental bases of almost every achievements such as the highly developed money system and many unique technologies.
