Although some of the countries such as Korea developed there own characters and separated them from Chinese culture which represent a rejection of the Chinese culture, this was not the main event happened and they are just specific minor cases at that time. Chinese culture diffused in a huge scale during the Song Dynasty. The facts that illustrate the extent of this diffusion can be represented by the Chinese characters and the Chinese exam system. A lot of countries accepted and used the Chinese characters since Song Dynasty such as Japan, Korea, and Vietnam al though some of them are not completely the same as the original one but with some modifications. The Chinese exam system also separated a lot in those countries for their major educations system.
