A. One reason why Islam attracted new converts is that it offered many tolerance to others.
Rumi wrote, “Come even if you broke your penitence a hundred times,” which shows the acceptance and hope to others.
This spirit made many groups of different religions more willing to join or transfer to Islam.

B. The Muslim world chose calligraphy as an art form because it expressed more and the form without images makes it more convenient.
Rumi said, “Ours is the portal of hope, come as you are.” which shows how words carried spiritual meaning instead of pictures.
In this way, writing itself became the center of Islamic art because of its convenience.

C. A similarity between Islamic and Chinese calligraphy is that writing became the major way to spread out their religions.
Rumi’s words, “Come, whoever you are, come,” show the acceptance of everyone only with several words.
This shows that writing spread ideas and also shaped its own cultural identity to attract more people.
