Although those internal conflicts within nations mostly sparked by local nationalisms and colonial power were significant component of conflict in Asia, the foreign involvment caused by ideologies conflict such as sending troops, assisting with military suports were more fundamentally compared to that since they had got larger impact worldwide power and impact during the period 1945–1989. During the era of the Cold War, Asia experienced a significant instability driven by the ideological rivalry between the major powers. At the same time, local powers started several anti-colonial movements which progressively increased this instability. Those direct military actions by superpowers such as sending troops, raising aids to countries, forcing them to join on of the alliance forcibly made them get involved into this massive chaos all around the world. This was not only limited in Asia while Africa, South America and other colonial countries also suffered the chaos.

The most significant and direct causes would be those direct militery actions such as sending troops and deploy violent firearms that was used to fight against superpowers each other. From Doc 5, which is a report based on Afghan’s current circumstances by a Soviet academic research center. This document analyzed that the introduction of Soviet troops did not lead to the abatement of military struggles but even increased the conflicts because more countries other than the Soviet get involved as well. Doc 7 states basically the similar thing which this artwork is full of different heavy firearms and there’s a label of “USSR 1989” inside, The author probably would like to show the hardness during the war against the USSR that made a huge contrasst to the circumstances after the withdrawal of troops. This internally reflects the situation once they were in military conflicts, and this suppoerts the idea of the extent of instability as well. Document 1 suggests this claim as well which a Polish ambassader to North Korea states that the change of situation between North and South Korea was subtle. While they are fighting against the US power, they also seeked to increase military supports and there were already significant amount of complements from other countries there to help this war. This would be a chain effect which as they spend more on military cost, the Americans would exert strongers pressure in case to fight back. The consequence would be a large lose in economy on both sides. In addition, this letter was sent to the Polish Foreign Ministry in North Korea so that the intention of the writer was straight foward, to request more supplies. From his POV he might want to harshly resist the American power, and this could represent most of the cold war context which both powers have strong conflicts and one of the only representation of it was the military race in small countries.

Another thing that is significant during this period was conflicts between local nationalisms and foreign colonial powers. This also contributes to the political instability in Asia while a lot of Asian countries were former colonies of European countires and nationalisms naturally played the opposite role against it. Document 3 suggests that the anti-British Revolution War has been fought for a long time in Malaysia which the British once arrested all the members of the Malayan Communist Party. It also says that locals in Malaysia had nothing but attack back with armed forces to start revolutions. This mainly suggest the extent of conflicts between local nationalisms and colonial power (Europeans), one of the superpower. This was from a local newspaper related with politics as well, therefore, the purpose might be gathering more people to participate in the revolutionary action or to even show the power to the British in order to try to get the rights back. Document 2 also illustrates a British information of replacing government in Iran with cooperation with the US. This was reported by an Assistant Secretary of the US Department. He mentioned several possibilities of nationalists movements in Iran and want to make sure that this plan goes feasible. This can be used to prove the conflict between superpower and a third country as well. From his perspective he represented the US power, so his purpose was helping the US and the British while they were participating this event.
