Our school is not a top-tier school in our city and has a high turnover rate of teachers. A lot of teachers leave after a year or even less than one year of being joined this school.
The teacher who taught me AP Calculus BC last year was a very kind and skilled person, but he left this school year. He brought a lot of math knowledge to me and was also my math competition starter. He has started a group for those who would like to participate in math competitions or have a great desire to learn math (the group is independent of the math club) since I have just joined this school (basically no one at my school chooses to major in math later in life, I’m one of the only ones) He usually talks about math competitions content like combinations, probability, number theory, etc. two or three times a week after school. He was incredibly supportive of me. Also, I got involved in the math club (he is also the advisor of the math club. In the math club he taught the competition content as well) and I gained a lot.
Since he left, the math atmosphere in our school is not as strong, and I can only learn math competition staff by myself. Then he recommended that I get involved in some summer math programs over the summer, and he recommended several, HSMC being one of them. He thought that I should definitely participate in something similar if I wanted to further my education in the math path. There is nothing comparable to what is offered on campus or what can be found on the internet. I think I also need more math to explore other considerable things.

I had already started the International PI Thunder Tournament with a few high school students back in March of this year, and it was a huge success, with 30+ schools in almost 10 cities around the world at the same time, and over 100 participants at the time. After the event, we also created a math enthusiasts’ discussion group, which has over 100 members and a daily average of over 200 messages. I’d like to continue to expand its reach while the iron is hot. I thought that since our school has a high turnover of teachers, I would create a large, global, annual math event in 12th grade. I envision this event to be a full day-long event with a few booths in the venue, a variety of math games, and a math competition with questions posed by the organizing committee. Hopefully, I can gather some independent math geniuses to work together to create a good math atmosphere.

Beyond math, I also have a lot of different lifestyles. Before I was in elementary school, my parents had asked me to take piano lessons. Since then There’s been no turning back on my journey to explore music. I have been playing rhythm games a long time ago, and those games usually use a distinct style of music as the background music for the levels. They are usually very fast and vary a lot. Most people can’t appreciate this type of music though, finding it too noisy. Years ago, I was particularly interested in this style of music. It was by chance that I joined a music club in middle school, which eventually led me to compose music. Since then, I’ve gone from being a music player to a composer.
I’ve always enjoyed these types of games. Since I had a foundation in game development with Unity back in elementary school, I was determined to make an innovative 3D music game to promote this type of music style in 2024. Its gameplay was unprecedented. Thus, Domain Echoing was made. I asked many famous composers all over the world to create original music for the game.
But my dream goes even further than that. In the future, I want to promote my favorite style of music in a simpler way. I also consider combining this music with other forms of art, such as animation. Going to create some videos that showcase this music through a soundtrack.
As for my motivation? Maybe it’s just driven by love, there’s not much more to say.
