I often try things I haven’t tried instead of limiting myself to what I’ve already mastered. In other words, I like to get my hands dirty with things, especially content I’m not familiar with but is interesting

Domain Echoing

  • Initiator/Master Planner/Programmer
I started and invited 30+ developers from all over China to create the innovative 3D rhythm game “Domain Echoing.” More than 10 renowned artists from around the world (mostly from Japan) were invited to create “avant-garde” music for the game. Dedicated to raising people’s music literacy and promoting the music of these avant-garde genres. The game has been released on Testflight for some players and will be released on App Store/Google Play later this year. In the meantime, the editor for making Domain Echoing levels will be open-sourced on GitHub. For other rhythm game developers to use.

I started and did most of the work on this project. Almost all of the code in this game was written by me. In addition, some of the UI, art, character design, etc., was also done on my own. Most of the contact with the foreign composers, such as sending emails, was done by me as well. I also composed 2 original pieces of music to put into this game. Almost all the members are people I got from the internet, forums, or social media.

International Pi Thunder Tournament

  • Co-initiator/Head of IT
Co-founder of the “International Pi Thunder Tournament.” It has now been held once worldwide, and the next one is expected to be held in the fall of 2025. There are 100+ participants worldwide, totaling 30+ teams. Also reached out to Shanghai WLSA Academy for sponsorship. There is also a forum for contest extensions. In addition to this, we have also created a communication (discussion) group on WeChat and Discord. Currently, we have 120+ people in the group, including not only high school students but also some undergraduates majoring in math. The average amount of group messages is over 200 per day. We also have a website that documents the archives of previous tournaments and other information (pitour.athmyx.com / blog.pitour.athmyx.com)

I took care of all IT-related staff, including website development, blog development, and so on. Since we were hosting multiple schools at the same time, someone needed to be in charge of the arrangements for each school. So I was also the tournament leader for our school.

Skin Talk

  • Head of IT
The organization aims to disseminate dermatological content. Our target audience is 13-19-year-old adolescents with dermatologic conditions and teenagers who are concerned about skin health. We collected 100+ questionnaires nationwide and analyzed the results. We found that artistically talking about dermatology has a significant impact. (ctb.athmyx.com)
We reached and engaged those audiences in 3 ways.
  1. Schools: We work with local schools in Shanghai, Beijing, and Guangzhou to organize dermatology exhibitions and interactive experiences to target the student population. Our target is to raise their awareness and understanding of skin health.
  2. Online platforms: To expand our activity, we published relevant popularization content on social media platforms (e.g., WeChat, Rednote, etc.), created an online exhibition on “artstep,” and set up an online website (ctb.athmyx.com) to attract the participation of young people and groups concerned about skin health.
  3. Patient Narrative Activity: We launched the “Hear Your Voice” program through social media, inviting dermatology patients from all over the world to share their personal stories. Through the production of short videos showcasing these stories, we aim to raise awareness and understanding of dermatology amongst young people and their parents.

I am responsible for all online websites/online exhibits/photo walls, etc. I used my domain athmyx.com to create a sub-domain ctb.athmyx.com for displaying photographs taken during the events, artwork from our art form to promote dermatology, and items of interactions with participants.

Harmony Music Club

  • Co-founder/VP
Harmony Music Club was first started by a few avant-garde electronic dance music (EDM) enthusiasts in Shanghai and has grown to 30+ members from all over China. We are dedicated to creating and exchanging avant-garde electronic dance music styles. We also teach beginners how to compose electronic music. We have already released one collaborative album in Nov 2024 and expect to release 2-3 more albums this year. Some of the tracks from the album will be used in my game “Domain Echoing”.

There are no departments in our club; everyone specializes in a unique style. I’m mainly in charge of creating music of sub-styles under the Drum and Bass (DnB) category. It’s usually called Artcore, which is fast (with high BPM and rhythm) and highly melodic. I’m also in charge of some Bass music productions.

Artificial Existence (School AI Club)

  • President/Founder
Since the founding of the club, we have regularly taught the basic contents of machine learning as well as discrete math to club members. Last fall, we started an AI-model project to create rhythmic “charts” by breaking down the rhythms and melodies of music. This project is currently in progress. It is a project that I plan to use in the future to create levels for my music game “Domain Echoing”. Also, I plan to upload it to Github for everyone to use when it’s finished.

I am mainly responsible for all the arrangements of the club, including the course content as well as the project content. Although we have an advisor for the club, she does not do anything related to the activities, and almost everything is taken care of by me and the vice president.

School FPV Drone Club

  • Co-founder/VP
This club was created by some of our school’s Drone enthusiasts and myself. The main part of the club’s activities is to provide the members of the club with Drone simulators. We also regularly take the club members out to an open space to use a real FPV Drone. If there is a competition in our city, we will also take them to watch it.

My main role was to provide the drone simulator. Due to the high performance of my laptop, it was often used to run the simulator during club classes.
