Alright, let’s move on to the Reuse process

Product

During the product design phase, our goal was to ensure its functionality and sustainability. For this purpose, we chose mainly Polylactic acid as the base material and three other materials for other functions. These materials are not used widely in the current market, but they are all useful are biodegradable.

Recycling Method

We also designed two recycling methods. Users can choose to return the lunchbox to the recycling machine themselves or call a deliveryman to bring it away. After the recycling, they will also get a coupon for future consumption.

Firstly, we set up lunchbox recycling machines in neighborhoods and office buildings. Users need to scan the QR code and log in before using them. The machine will automatically assess the number of meal boxes returned, generate a report in the user’s app, and issue coupons.

For the second method. When the deliveryman comes to deliver the meal, the users need to pack the lunch box of the previous meal for the deliveryman to take away.

Operation rules

To ensure that users will return the lunch boxes.

When consumers order a meal, they also need to pay an additional deposit for the lunchbox. The amount of coupons a user receives depends on the size of the lunch box. This also encourages users to order larger meals.

For the small size, consumers are required to pay a one-dollar deposit and will receive a two-dollar coupon upon return

The rest of them are similar, consumers pay different deposits and will receive different coupons.
