I am writing to provide an update regarding my family’s financial circumstances following the submission of my CSS Profile and FAFSA, and to respectfully request that this information be considered during my financial aid evaluation.
In early February 2025, my father experienced an unexpected job loss and remained unemployed for approximately ten months. He only began a new position earlier this month. This prolonged interruption significantly reduced our household income for 2025 and created financial uncertainty that is not reflected in our original financial aid application, which was based on 2024 earnings.
While my father has now returned to work, the extended period of unemployment has had a meaningful impact on our family’s ability to contribute toward educational expenses. I would greatly appreciate it if this updated information could be taken into account when assessing my financial aid eligibility. Please let me know if any supporting documentation would be helpful.
